Rachel, a wealthy woman who has everything except a child, locates a poor couple who agrees to let Rachel and her husband adopt their next baby.
When it is discovered that the baby possibly suffered brain damage during the difficult birth, her husband backs away but Rachel wants wants the baby regardless.
